Galileo Galilei was an italian physic. He was born in February 15th of 1564 in Pisa, Italy. He died in January 8th 1642 in Arcetri, Italy.

He discovered:

*Microscope (perfected)

*Sunspot

*Moon's mountains and craters

*Phases of Venus

*4 satellities of Jupter: Io, Europa, Callisto and Ganymede
*Rings of Saturn

*stars of Milky Way

He invented:

*Geometric and Military Compass (improved)

*Thermometer

*Pendule clock

*Refracting telescope

-> Defended the heliocentrisc model

-> Has been called "Father of modern science"

-> Played the major role in the scientific revolution

Galileo Galilei died in the fire by the Inquisition
